PBA All-Star Mindanao vs Gilas Pilipinas

Mark Barroca, Peter June Simon, Rafi Reavis, Jio Jalalon and the rest of the PBA All-Star Mindanao will try to defeat Gilas Pilipinas to start the 2017 PBA All-Star Week at Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro today, April 26 at 7pm.

James Yap, Mark Barroca, Marc Pingris and Justin Melton was voted as starters for the 2015 PBA All-Star Game to be held on March 8, 2015 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Pingris and Melton will start for the North All-Stars while Yap and Barroca will start for the South All-Star.

Also from Purefoods Star Hotshots, Joe Devance and Peter June Simon will also play for the South All-Stars as reserves.

2014 PBA All-Star Weekend from April 3-6, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena also includes PBA Run for a Cause 2014 on April 5.

James Yap will compete in the Three-Point Shootout against Mark Macapagal, JV Casio, Chris Tiu, Larry Fonacier, Mac Baracael, Mac Cardona, Gary David and Marco Lassiter.

Mark Barroca
Mark Barroca will take part in the Obstacle Challenge against Jonas Villanueva, JV Casio, LA Tenorio, Paul Lee , Willie Miller, John Wilson, Terrence Romeo, Sol Mercado and Jayson Castro.

Justin Melton
Justin Melton will be the shortest player in the Slam Dunk Competition and will go up against Chris Ellis, Japeth Aguilar, Arwind Santos, Rey Guevarra, Cliff Hodge and Calvin Abueva.

Canaleta claims 5th Slam Dunk Title

PBA Slam Dunk KG Canaleta
Nino “KG” Canaleta won the PBA All-Star Slam Dunk Competition held in Laoag, Ilocos Norte. Canaleta beat JC Intal, Gabe Norwood, Arwind Santos and Elmer Espiritu for his 5th Slam Dunk Title.

Judges: Laoag Mayor Michael Farinas, Jojo Lastimosa, Kenneth Duremdes, Borgy Manotoc and sportswriter Waylon Galvez.
