Magnolia beat Ginebra in Game 1

Magnolia Hotshots finally beat Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as they take Game 1 of the 2018 PBA Governors Cup Semifinals.

Import Romeo Travis led Magnolia with 37 points and 16 rebounds while Paul Lee with 27 points and 4 steals. Justin Melton scored 11 points for the Hotshots.

Barangay Ginebra led by 8 points at the end of the 1st quarter but Magnolia outscored Ginebra, 32-16 in the 2nd quarter and they controlled the game after that.

Justin Brownlee led Ginebra with 37 points. Hotshots now lead the best-of-five series, 1-0.
