Magnolia defeated Ginebra, now lead series 2-0

Magnolia Hotshots with back-to-back wins over Barangay Ginebra to take a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five semifinals series in the 2018 PBA Governors Cup.

Import Romeo Travis led Magnolia with 25 points but it was the steady play of Ian Sangalang (17 points and 4 rebounds) who helped Hotshots take another win against Ginebra. Paul Lee with 14 points.

Rome dela Rosa also played well with 11 points and 3 rebounds and was the primary defender of Justin Brownlee. LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar with 15 points each for Ginebra.

Coach Tim Cone was ejected in the 2nd half after getting 2 technical fouls.
