Meralco beat Star, 3rd straight loss of Hotshots

Meralco Bolts defeated Star Hotshots, 96-90 held in Sta Rosa, Laguna. This was the 3rd straight loss of Star after winning their 1st 4 games in the 2017 PBA Governors Cup.

Import Malcolm Hill led Star with 28 points while Allen Durham led the Bolts with 29 points and 27 rebounds. Jio Jalalon played well and scored 15 points. Ian Sangalang contributed 11 points. Paul Lee with 9.

Meralco with a big lead since the start of the game which ended 32-15 after the 1st quarter but Star came back in the 2nd half but fell short again.

Allein Maliksi and Alrech Ramos with 7 points each. Star Hotshots now with a 4-3 record.

Meralco 96 – Durham 29, Newsome 17, Hodge 15, Amer 13, Lanete 11, Tolomia 7, Dillinger 2, Hugnatan 2, Sedurifa 0, Caram 0, Nabong 0.

Star 90 – Hill 28, Jalalon 15, Sangalang 11, Lee 9, Maliksi 7, Ramos 7, Pingris 6, Barroca 5, Brondial 0, Dela Rosa 0, Simon 0, Melton 0.

Quarterscores: 32-15, 59-41, 74-67, 96-90.
