B-Meg defeats Powerade

Philippine Basketball Association 37th Season
2011 Philippine Cup (All-Filipino Conference)
B-Meg Llamados defeats Powerade Tigers, 97-80

Game Highlights:
- Peter June Simon led B-Meg with 21 points
- James Yap scored 20 points and led the Llamados in the 1st quarter with 12 points while the whole Powerade team just had 9 1st quarter points
- Highest lead of B-Meg was 27 points but was down to 9 in the middle of the 4th quarter
- Llamados rebounding edge 61-43
- B-Meg held high scoring Gary David to just 7 points
- Marcio Lassiter led Powerade with 15 points while his Smart Gilas teammate JV Casio had 5 points
- B-Meg now with 2 wins and 3 losses

What’s wrong with the Llamados?

With the entry of Coach Tim Cone and the team now complete and injure free (except for Jonas Villanueva), we expect that B-Meg to be on top of the standings at the start of the All-Filipino conference but after 4 games, the Llamados just have 1 win against 3 losses.

Derby Ace will try to defend title minus Raymundo and Pingris

Philippine Basketball Association 36th Season
All-Filipino Conference

B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados (formerly called Purefoods TJ Giants) will try to defend the All-Filipino Title minus the services of both Kerby Raymundo and Marc Pingris who will have surgery in the US and a new coach, Jorge Gallent. Raymundo and Pingris maybe out for 4-5 months and will try to comeback in the 2nd conference after the PBA has reinstated the 3-conference format for the 36th season.

Although there are rumors of trades by Derby Ace, there are still no confirmed transactions and the two Rookies drafted by B-Meg, Pari Llagas and Val Acuna might be signed soon to fill up the slots vacated by Raymundo and Pingris.
