With the score tied at 83-all, Reed Juntilla of Barako Bull missed a shot in the closing seconds but Dennis Daa grabbed the rebound and attempted a shot but was fouled with 0.4 seconds left in the game. San Miguel wins 85-83
Alex Cabagnot made a game winning shot for two consecutive games as San Miguel wins its third straight game by beating the Derby Ace Llamados, 85-83. The Beermen was leading by 3 points, 83-80 when Peter June Simon made a big 3-point shot to tie the game but Cabagnot made a drive to the basket and made a difficult shot with 2 defenders to win the game.
James Yap led Derby Ace with 21 points and 7 rebounds but made only 3 points in the 4th quarter. Roger Yap had an all-around game with 6 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks…

Alaska Aces won the 100th PBA Championship by beating San Miguel Beermen in Game 6, 102-88. Alaska has now won 13 PBA titles since 1986 all with Tim Cone as Head Coach. LA Tenorio and Cyrus Baguio were named co-Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
After losing to the Purefoods TJ Giants on a 4-0 sweep in the Philippine Cup Finals, the Aces bounced back this conference beating Ginebra in the Quarterfinals (3-2), Talk N Text in the Semifinals (4-3) and San Miguel in the Finals (4-2).

San Miguel Corporation is retaining the name B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados for the next conference of the Philippine Basketball Association which starts on October 3, 2010 as the sale for Purefoods may not push through. This means Petron is out and SMC may decide not to sell the whole Purefoods franchise. At least we are sure that for one more conference, they will still be called B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados.
In other news, a new head coach for Purefoods/Derby Ace has been named!
