B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados vs Barangay Ginebra

Mother’s Day Sunday – Two of the most popular teams in the PBA, B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados (formerly Purefoods TJ Giants) and Barangay Ginebra clash in the 2010 Fiesta Conference this Sunday May 9 at 6:30pm. The Kings will be without Mark Caguioa who was slapped a one game suspension for throwing a ball at a referee in their last game.

Derby Ace has decided to stick with new Import Clif Brown.

The other Yap leads Purefoods TJ Giants to a win vs the Ginebra Gin Kings, 89-81, Roger Yap contributed 21 points to get back at Ginebra who beat Purefoods in the first round. This is the 3rd straight win for Purefoods who are now tied with Talk N Text and Ginebra for 3rd place with 7 wins and 4 losses.

Kerby Raymundo missed his second game due to an injury, Peter June Simon scored 14 points while James Yap scored 13 but it was Rafi Reavis and Marc Pingris who made clutch baskets in the final minutes for Purefoods.

Purefoods Tender Juciy Giants came back from a 13 point deficit in the 3rd quarter but came up short in the final minutes of the game, losing to Barangay Ginebra 95-87. Jayjay Helterbrand and Ronald Tubid made big baskets at the end of the 4th quarter to give Ginebra their second win and giving Purefoods its 1st loss this conference.

James Yap and Peter June Simon led Purefoods with 21 and 16 points respectively.
