B-Meg defeats Air 21, 111-89

Darnell Hinson led B-Meg in the next round by scoring 31 points (10/20 from the field) along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in his farewell game for the Llamados. Hinson will fly back to the US to attend a hearing custody of his daughter and B-Meg has already scouted a replacement just in case Hinson won’t be back for the PBA Governors Cup semifinals.

Joe Devance was named Best Player of the Game with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks in his 8th game for the Llamados…

Ginebra defeats B-Meg, 89-85

The Barangay Ginebra Kings won for the 2nd straight time without an import, this time beating the B-Meg Llamados, 89-85. 5 players scored in double figures for Ginebra led by Ronald Tubid with 20 points and 6 rebounds.

B-Meg import Darnell Hinson bounced back from a 5-point performance the last game scoring 21 points and also contributed 9 rebounds and 5 assists but it was not enough to keep B-Meg from losing its second straight game and slid down the standings in the current PBA Governors Cup

Petron defeats B-Meg, 87-84

Petron Blaze Boosters led by Arwind Santos, import Jeremy Wise, Rabeh Al-Hussaini and Alex Cabagnot defeats the B-Meg Llamados in a close game, 87-84 even with B-Meg import Darnell Hinson a non-factor with only 5 points (1/10 from the field).

The Llamados had a chance to force the game into overtime but Joe Devance missed a desperation three and B-Meg slid down the standings with a 3 win and 3 loss card with 2 games left in the current PBA Governors Cup. James Yap again led B-Meg for the third straight game contributing 19 points…

Injury Update:
Rafi Reavis was activated and played 12 minutes in the game against TNT and might have more playing time in their next games but Jonas Villanueva maybe out of the season due to a tear on MCL and ACL. Kerby Raymundo may still play this conference but it will be at the latter part if B-Meg advances in the next round. While Petron will be missing Jay Washington.

Derby Ace Llamados Updates

B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados has narrowed down their choices for import in the upcoming PBA Governors Cup which starts on June 2, 2011 in Dubai as Derby Ace battles Talk N Text. With the height limit for their import as only 6’2 they want to get either Quincy Douby or get back Courtney Beasley.

Meanwhile, Derby Ace players James Yap, Don Allado, Jondan Salvador and Jonas Villanueva who suffered from different injuries last conference has all been cleared to play and all are practicing with the team. And Rafi Reavis who played sparingly last conference will return this June and will play by the 3rd week.

Powerade defeats Derby Ace 103-96

New Import, same results for B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados as they lost to Powerade Tigers in Lanao del Norte, 103-96. It was the 2nd straight loss for the Llamados to start the 2011 PBA Philippine Cup.

New Derby Ace Import Shamari Spears led B-Meg with 22 points but was mostly ineffective offensively and defensively as Tigers Import Russel Carter outplayed him scoring 36 points and contributing 19 rebounds and 6 assists.

Nino “KG” Canaleta led the locals with 16 points. It was actually a close game in the 1st half until Powerade pulled away in the 3rd quarter scoring 38 points with Derby Ace scoring only 19…
