The Barangay Ginebra Kings won for the 2nd straight time without an import, this time beating the B-Meg Llamados, 89-85. 5 players scored in double figures for Ginebra led by Ronald Tubid with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
B-Meg import Darnell Hinson bounced back from a 5-point performance the last game scoring 21 points and also contributed 9 rebounds and 5 assists but it was not enough to keep B-Meg from losing its second straight game and slid down the standings in the current PBA Governors Cup…

Rico Maierhofer who suffered a knee injury in their last game will miss the game vs Air 21 Express tomorrow, March 2 at the Cuneta Astrodome. Let us all pray for Rookie of the Year Rico Maierhofer and hope that his injury is not very serious.
In other news, Kerby Raymundo will be back on March 6 and may play against Barangay Ginebra on March 6 or against Alaska Aces on March 13.

B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados vs Powerade Tigers
Powerade defeats Derby Ace 103-96
New Import, same results for B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados as they lost to Powerade Tigers in Lanao del Norte, 103-96. It was the 2nd straight loss for the Llamados to start the 2011 PBA Philippine Cup.
New Derby Ace Import Shamari Spears led B-Meg with 22 points but was mostly ineffective offensively and defensively as Tigers Import Russel Carter outplayed him scoring 36 points and contributing 19 rebounds and 6 assists.
Nino “KG” Canaleta led the locals with 16 points. It was actually a close game in the 1st half until Powerade pulled away in the 3rd quarter scoring 38 points with Derby Ace scoring only 19…
