Naga City – Air21 Express nailed its 1st win in the current PBA Philippine Cup and keeps defending champion Derby Ace Llamados winless in three games. Peter June Simon led B-Meg with 11 points while Rommel Adducul playing extended minutes due to key injuries contributed 10 points.

MVP James Yap scored only 8 points.

Derby Ace signs Gaco, eyes Pennisi

Jerwin Gaco who played for Jorge Gallent in the PBL for Harbour Centre Team has signed with the Llamados to beef-up its roster who will miss both Kerby Raymundo and Marc Pingris in the upcoming Philippine Cup. Gaco last played for the Barako Bull but was not signed and released as a free agent.

Mick Pennisi of San Miguel Beermen is also being eyed by Coach Gallent but needs another conduit if they can get Pennisi from the Beermen. Other options for the Llamados are veteran Rommel Adducul.

Chandler is back

Former Purefoods Import Marquin Chandler is back and leads Purefoods TJ Giants to a win vs. the Coca Cola Tigers, 92-85. Former Best Import Chandler returns with 30pts, 12 reb, 4 asts, 3 blks. James Yap fresh from winning the three-point shootout in the All-star weekend had 22 point to lead the locals in scoring. Rommel Adducul had his best game since being diagnosed with cancer last year scoring 9 points.
