Another tough win in overtime for the Llamados as they survived San Miguel, 93-88 with Peter June Simon and Marc Pingris providing the finishing blows. PJ Simon scored 26 points and 7 rebounds including the first 5 points in overtime while Marc Pingris had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds including crucial rebounds at the end game as B-Meg won their 2nd straight overtime game…

Even though Shamari Spears led Derby Ace to a win versus Smart Gilas, the Llamados have decided to replace Spears with 6’2 Guard Courtney Beasley against San Miguel Beermen tomorrow, Sunday, March 27 6:30pm at the Big Dome.

There will be no battle for third place starting this PBA Philippine Cup. B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados is 4th place in the standings while Barangay Ginebra Kings takes 3rd place.

San Miguel wins 85-83

Alex Cabagnot made a game winning shot for two consecutive games as San Miguel wins its third straight game by beating the Derby Ace Llamados, 85-83. The Beermen was leading by 3 points, 83-80 when Peter June Simon made a big 3-point shot to tie the game but Cabagnot made a drive to the basket and made a difficult shot with 2 defenders to win the game.

James Yap led Derby Ace with 21 points and 7 rebounds but made only 3 points in the 4th quarter. Roger Yap had an all-around game with 6 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks…

Jonas Villanueva and Paul Artadi will face their old teams as B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados and San Miguel Beermen battle each other for the first time since exchanging guards in the off-season. Alaska Aces won the 100th PBA Championship by beating San Miguel Beermen in Game 6, 102-88. Alaska has now won 13 PBA titles since 1986 all with Tim Cone as Head Coach. LA Tenorio and Cyrus Baguio were named co-Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).

After losing to the Purefoods TJ Giants on a 4-0 sweep in the Philippine Cup Finals, the Aces bounced back this conference beating Ginebra in the Quarterfinals (3-2), Talk N Text in the Semifinals (4-3) and San Miguel in the Finals (4-2).
